Kathy,
I just thought I would drop you an email and let you know how Bear is doing.  After making
it home from Ohio to Pennsylvania in the blizzard of '08, we could not be happier with Bear
and all he means to our family.  He is a wonderful, beautiful, totally lovable boy.  At 5
months old he is weighing in at 52 lbs.  He has a gentle, playful, intelligent nature.  He loves
the family and being outdoors.  He has been learning very quickly his basic commands.  I was
able recently to test his good nature when I took him to our anual horse show here in Devon,
Pa. I could not get through the grounds without everyone stopping me and telling me what a
gorgeous dog he was.  They were surprized that he was only 5 months old and already had
such a regal carriage and large size!!!  He loved all the attention, wagging his tail the whole
time we were there.  His temperament and intelligence is everything we wanted in GSD.

I have recommended you to EVERYONE I know and ANYONE who asks.
You truly have some of the most beautiful dogs around!

Thank you so much for Bear....

Kathy,
Hi, we haven't spoke for a while and i wanted to forward some adult pics, of the most
beautiful female shep you've produced to date ( sorry, i'm biased and VERY proud).
Madame Nyxse Vombuflod, is an awesome young lady, and we adore her. I've never seen
such a well adjusted, stable dog, with so much personality. She loves kids, and can be around
large groups, (we socialize often) without any problems. She has begun a regular grooming
schedule, that long plush coat!!! We just added another english bulldog puppy just Easter
weekend, and we were a little wary, but o man did she make us proud!!! What an instant
mother!!! She even feeds him her food when i shoo him away from her bowl!!! So now her
playmates include a small pony that she herds daily, a lhasa apso that she annoys, and now
a little pudgy bulldog. Anyway, thank you so much for your dedication to this breed,
and producing such amazing animals, and thank you for your hard work getting us matched
with our dream girl!!! I look forward to seeing her pics on your website!!

When we decided to get a German Shepherd we didn't know much about the
breed. We found Kathy's website which has a lot of information about the
breed, their traits and behavior.  The decision to buy a German Shepherd
from Kathy was easy to make after talking with Kathy on the phone and
going to their home and seeing the facility where these dogs are bred
and raised. Kathy is not just a person with puppies to sell, she cares
about the dogs and is very knowledgeable about the breed.

Once we took Ezra home and had questions, Kathy was more than happy to
take the time to help and never acted like we were bothering her. We
would absolutely recommend Kathy as a breeder.

As for the dogs, we may be a little biased because Ezra has been a
wonderful companion. She was housebroken in 3 days, very intelligent,
well mannered, protective, easy to train and has become a great addition
to our family.

Kathy also recommended K-9 performance of Cincinnati for obedience
training which was very helpful. The trainer told us Kathy breeds high
energy, high drive working dogs and they need to have daily activity.
Ezra's daily activities include training sessions, playing football and
playing with our cats.

The most important question everyone should ask themselves, is not only
if these dogs are right for me but am I the right person for these dogs.
Kathy's dogs are not lap dogs, they are working dogs, meaning they need
daily exercise and some type of activity. Our trainer told us if we don't
give Ezra an activity to do she would find one on her own and it may not
be something we would like.

Kathy is not only an excellent breeder she also is a very good person and
we would recommend her and her dogs to anyone who would give the dogs
the same love and care they deserve.

Thanks again for all your help,

Teresa & Kyle Keesee

We were looking for a German Shepherd puppy with good blood lines, healthy and one that would get along with our

family which consists of 13 grand children. We looked at several puppies and then went to Kathy’s and fell in love with

Sophie who was only 8 weeks old.  We could tell right away that she was different from the other puppies we had seen

at other places.  She was very pretty and attentive with a great disposition.  When she was 6 months old we enrolled her

in obedience training.  Now that she is 8 months she is so well behaved, a pleasant companion

and fun to have as part of our family.  Our grandchildren love her and she loves their attention.  We keep getting comments

on how pretty she is and how soft her coat is.  She is very smart and learns quickly.  We are glad to have checked out the

website and found Kathy Buflod’s site.  Kathy is very knowledgeable about her German Shepherds, and it is evident of

how caring and particular she is with them.  She also gave us good tips, since this is our first house dog.

It was also fun to watch Kathy demonstrate the various commands with Sophie’s father.

Sincerely,

Bruce and Carol Tarter

Hi Kathy:

At four and a half months old, Lena is knocking on the 45 pound door! Her ears are just

about up --right ear is up, the left about 90% there, and she has lost all her top and

bottom teeth up to her canines. She is a little clown and he latest accomplishment just this

morning is jumping up on our bed all by herself. (it is a pretty high bed).

She helps wake Steve up in the morning.

She loves to learn and nags me if I haven't gotten to her little evening training sessions in

a timely manner. She is walking great on the leash alone, but obviously when the other dogs

are loose and with us she just wants to catch up with them. She and Astro continue to be

best wrestle buddies, although I think Astro sees the writing on the wall that she is going

to be bigger than he! She also started eating in the room with the other "big dogs" and is

learning our dining rules, eat and leave.

We hope to bring her up once the weather warms up for a visit!

See you soon!

Carolyn, Steve and Lena

Hi Kathy:

HAPPY NEW YEAR.  Just wanted to let you know that Asco is healthy and happy

down here in Florida.  We call him “Doc” after a character in a series of books that

I read.  The character is a very large, very intelligent guy who is a trained killer with

an unusually gentle heart.  It seemed to fit. He seemed to take very easily to the

change. He is the most loved dog on the planet.  He goes to doggie-day-care so he’ll

stay friendly and well exercised while we’re at work.  He is so exhausted some days

that I barely know we have a dog in the evenings.  He is quite the head turner.

Everyone loves him!  He loves the beach, especially the pelicans and osprey.  I think

he’s a bird dog in disguise!  He isn’t as crazy about the boat or the Gulf yet but we’re

sure when the water is a little bit warmer and we’re swimming, he’ll get the idea.  He

seems to really like riding on the golf cart that we use at the island house.

Attached are a couple of photos.  I’ll send updated ones when he finally understands

the joy of swimming on a hot Florida day.

Thanks for bringing us together!

We received our beautiful puppy at 9 weeks old. He is the most wonderful dog we
have ever had! The minute I saw him I knew he was the best of the best and he has
proved it numerous times. Every where we go people rave about him. The most
common compliments: "Wow what a dog!" "Is he from Europe?"
"Where did you get him?" "He is so calm!" "He is so smart!" "He is beautiful!"
People can really tell he is from good stock.

To say the least we are very proud!

Kathy,

I just wanted to thank you for our beautiful German Shepherds Koda & Boo.
Koda had some big paws to fill after the loss of our German Shepherd Bear,
and he is everything we could of ever hoped for in a Shepherd.
He is confident patient and a constant guardian and companion to our three girls.

Boo is coming along very nicely. She has completed four levels of obedience at
the age of 9 months and is blossoming into a wonderful companion and guardian
for our family.

These dogs never disappoint me with there unconditional love and service.

Thanks again,

impressed with Brody...said he had excellent temperment for a puppy and
Wonderful bone structure....It is amazing how many compliments we get for
Brody...when we take him to "town" for a walk...It seems like everyone stops
and is awestruck with his good looks....He is my daughters Best buddy....
we could not be happier and we are so very glad we went with such a quality
puppy from Quality Breeder... You are not only Nice people...But i could not

My Vet recomended Vom Buflod German Shepherds when I told him I was
looking for a shepherd pup. When I called, Kathy was delivering the last
of a litter so I decided it was the right decision to go ahead and get a pup.
My girl River is now 6 months old and is so smart that I can show her something
only 2 or 3 times and she learns it.  Not to mention that she is maturing into a
beautiful dog and gets lots of compliments!
She socialized well in puppy kindergarden and is in her second obedience class
where she excells and is eager to please.  At home she is a clown and her best
friends is a 9 yr old 20lb. cat who is very patient with her.

I am considering another pup next fall and will definately return to Vom
Buflod for another Shepherd.

Hello Kathy,

I thought that I would send a couple of pictures of Ronin so you could see how he has grown.

He was at the vet today; he is weighing in at 51.5 lbs at 5 months! He and the cat still are not getting along;

however he and the two girls are doing well together.

He is a beautiful puppy, he receives compliments every where he goes!

Take care,

LETTER OF REFERENCE

April 16, 2007

We are the proud owners of "Jewel", "Adora" and "Willow" vom Buflod!  Our fabulous experience started

with the selection of Jewel then 5 weeks after Jewel came to live with us - Adora arrived!  Kathy made a very

wise suggestion that we get "the Girls"close together and work through the "puppy phase" at the same time.

That was such good advice!

Well - as if our lives weren't rich enough..."Willow-bear" arrived a four months later.  It's was pure heaven!!

When each puppy arrived in AZ, it was such a thrill to have them run right out of their airline crates into our

arms. They were the picture of health, so beautiful, full of confidence, happiness and great energy.  We already

had a 5 year old, GSD male - "Romeo" and wanted to find great playmates for him.  Kathy carefully listened as

we described our household and found the perfect match to keep balance in our home.  From the moment each

puppy met Romeo, they were confident and ready to play. Romeo was equally excited to play and has been

quite the gentleman with his new little friends!

"The Girls" are confident to meet people for the first time and eager to say hello.  They have such a sweet

temperament when greeting children.  When we take daily walks our neighbors always come running to pet

the dogs.  It's quite a sight to see all FOUR GSDs walking together in perfect formation.

During our first inquiry about puppies, Kathy communicated with genuine caring and expertise to help find

the right addition for our family.  Every step of the process was wonderful!  Pictures  were emailed of our

puppies from the time of birth and  weekly photos were sent  from 3 weeks all the way up to the day before

flying to AZ.   We even received video footage of the puppies running and playing.  Kathy always called to

share updates on the puppy's development....It really made us a part of their lives from day one.

In addition to  Kathy being available to answer our questions - their website is both beautiful and informative.

To this very day, if we have questions, we receive prompt answers to our calls or e-mails.

Although our only contact has been through the phone or emails - we have found Kathy to be a truly kind,

caring and decent person. Kathy has a passion for doing what is best for every one of the dogs.

We are so happy to count Kathy among our friends and cherish our Vom Buflod puppies as part of our family.

With appreciation,

Diane and Mark Vanek

Tempe, AZ

We are the owners of 7 GSD’s, 3 of which we bought from Kathy.  She has wonderful dogs.

We have had many questions over the years about puppies, dogs, breeding, care and pregnancy,

among others, and they are always right there with an answer or suggestion. Along with their high

quality puppies comes a helpful hand and a willingness to provide the new owner with as much

info as possible to make your new puppy happy and stay healthy.

All breeders should take a few lessons from them, I know we have.

Thanks for putting up with us for so long, and in the future!

Kathy,

Time has flown by and Patton is now 6 months old.

He has grown up fast and is very strong. He started training at K-9 when he was 10 weeks old, and has done

very well in the classes.  We recommend that your clients go to classes with their puppies;

we need the training as much as they do.

My husband and I always wanted a GSD, and he is everything we wanted in a dog.  He is beautiful, proud

and loyal… what an exceptional breed.  We are so glad we found you when we were looking for our puppy.

Your dogs are everything GSD’s should be.

Patton loves to go for walks (we try and go everyday)

GSD’s need something to do and Patton loves the walks and his tennis ball.  We always get stopped by people

who have questions about him or just to tell us how pretty he is.

Thanks for helping whenever we have questions!

We love him and are very glad we have him.

UPDATE 9/16/2007

Kathy,

Wanted to send you some updated pics of our beloved Patton

He's 85 pounds now, and still growing.

He still turns heads everywhere he goes.

I want another one....Ray's not ready yet.

We love looking at everyone else GSD's on you website.  I keep showing him the ones were owners have more than one hoping he will change his mine.

Hope you enjoy these pics.

Arko vom Falkberg   (Ursus vom Almhof / Kerry vom Falkberg)

4/11/2007

Hi Kathy,

We wanted to thank you for our wonderful Arko.  He is so gentle with our two five year old boys,

and with our older dog, Antonia.  Our children have had lots of friends over to visit and Arko is

always patient with them and seems to genuinely like children.  Arko is getting used to the new

sounds of the city very well--he is very confident around other dogs and has never picked a fight.

In our neighborhood, many people walk their dogs, so that was really important to us.

It is a joy to be around a dog that is so well mannered--it only takes a few times to let him know

the expectation and he gets it.

We love Arko so much and are so happy that we foundthe perfect fit for our family.

The other thing that is so interesting is that everywhere we go, people always say, wow,
beautiful dog!  Can I pet him?

Anyway,  thanks again, and we are confident that when Antonia's time
comes, we will know where to get another dog we can trust.

Sincerely,

Dear Kathy,

Thank You so much for the wonderful opportunity to own one of your exceptional dogs.

At 5 1/2 months old, Baron is so much better than I ever expected a puppy could be. As you know

I brought Baron home to two kids under a year and a half- a 4 month old and a 15 month old. I have

never regretted that choice. Baron LOVES both of my children so much as protects them like their were

his own puppies. I have never seen a dog that knows so instinctively what his job is and how to do it.

I rarely have to correct his behavior around the kids and he has become my shadow. I would not trade

him for the world! And your continue willingness to help even after I brought him home shows your true

dedication to the breed. I have already recommended you to several friends and will continue to do so!

As soon as Baron is a little older, we will most definitely be buying our next German Sheperd from you.

So, if you are wanting to buy a GSD from Kathy and are worried because of having young kids,

just ask her for my number-

I have no problem letting you know my personal experience!

 Sincerly,

Felix vom Buflod  (Inko vom Kolenda/ Lera vom Kolenda)

Here's a photo of Felix last winter, at our cabin at Lake Arrowhead.

He is doing great, as you can see he loves the snow.

Jaime, the first trainer who worked with Felix, said he's a great dog and that

she wished all the dogs she worked with were like him, so well-balanced and eager to work!

He has a wonderful temperament and he took to training really well. An agility facility is opening

up near us soon so I'm going to try him with that too, I think he'll love it!

He is so beautiful and smart, I'm really happy to have him.

Best,

Michele Bigelow

Bristol vom Buflod

Just thought I would send you an email with pics of our beautiful boy "Bristol".

He definitely has beautiful color and is going to be a very good size shepherd.  We love him to death,
and he is very spoiled!  We could not be more pleased with this dog.  He is exactly what we were looking
for and has so many of the characteristics of our previous shepherd that passed away early in the year.
He is getting bigger by the day.  He has the best, most laid back temperment, yet loves to play!

I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a shepherd.  Definitely worth the trip!

We have talked about possibly getting another shepherd next spring.  If we decide to get another,
we would positively come back to you.  We were very impressed with the information you provided
during our purchase, the quality of the breed, and your breeding in general.

Thanks again,
Craig & Sherri McMillen

YACCO VON DER VALLENDARER HOHE
2006 USA SIEGER 9-12 Month males
    SG40 GERMAN SIEGER SHOW 2006

Here I am sitting on my patio writing a letter to you and watching my 2 dogs.
One dog is Wena and the other is her best friend Yacco. This morning they are plotting
revenge on the mole that got away yesterday. Yacco's head is buried deep in the earth
and mud from ear to ear... Oh hold on... Yes! One less mole to deal with.

Well where do I start?  First I would like to say may THANKS to BOTH of you.
When I was looking for a second dog I knew I wanted to show and title the dog. However,
I was still on the fence about getting another dog. I spoke with Kathy about the Hannibal/Hexe pup.
( I loved the Photo of him stacked).  I decided to take my kids up to visit and look at him.
When we arrived my kids where more interested in your horses than the dogs. Hans brought out Yacco.
I liked what I saw and home he went. By the way my wife had no idea she was going to have another
mouth to feed. That is another story. Yacco fit in perfect. Wena loved him. At that time the NASS in
Pitts was getting close so I entered him. Only a 4 hr drive so why not. I got a very nice handler,
Gina Kastrup from Germany, and he placed VP2 Baby Vice Sieger! I just did not want him to
come in last. Excellent critique from the Judge. It was great because you both saw this happen.
His father's owner Dietmar Nohe was there to help also.

To shorten this up; Yacco has been shown several other times with all VP1's.
His most recent Win was the 2006 USA Sieger Show where he was the Senior Puppy Sieger.
Soon Yacco will embark on an overseas journey to compete against the worlds best .
I believe he is one of the best. We will see in Sept. at the German Sieger Show.

For those of you that are reading this, Hans and Kathy have been GREAT.
They are "Just Good People". In this world that means everything.

In wrapping this up I would again like to Thank You BOTH. You have been very helpful
